GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY CAMPAIGN IDENTITY
Logo creation for Georgetown University’s $1.5 billion capital campaign: For Generations To Come, The Campaign For Georgetown. The door icon represents all of the doors of Georgetown University and symbolizes a pathway to the future “for generations to come.” The icon’s fine lines applaud the elegance of Georgetown’s Caslon typeface and the embellishments respect the Federal architecture from campus. The minimalist drawing style keeps the icon fresh and forward-looking. As Georgetown’s campaign logo, the door serves as a metaphor for how the campaign opened doors—not just through the duration of the campaign but for generations to come.
MADISON PARKS FOUNDATION
Madison Parks Foundation was in need of a brand refresh after 15 years. It was important for the new identity to better match who they are as an organization, the non-profit partner of Madison Parks. They help the community conserve, promote and enhance Madison’s parks. The stylized icon incorporates a bridge, similar to the Marsden bridge at Tenney Park. It also includes a suggestion of a path, water and foliage, timeliness park icons. The brand is ultimately more approachable and versatile.
